Today in the southern polish city of Katowice, the police has brutally entered a mansion occupied by anarchists. They have been attacked. In consequence three injured are now in hospital. Their fate is unknown. Protests will be held all around the country.
On 19th April, last Sunday, group of anarchists, protesting against European Economic Congress held in a city, have taken over an abandoned building, right in the center by Mariacka street. They were planning to organise debates and lectures with a critical stance to these drawn out at the congress.
Next day, on early morning hours of Monday the police has stormed the squatted building. Most probably the explosives were used in order to gain entry. 21 persons that were in the building at that moment have been violently attacked and arrested. Three injured remain in hospital.
The activists have no knowledge whatsoever on the reason of their detention and the period they will remain in custody.
There will be several demonstrations held today in Polish cities, in solidarity with the detained and against brutal action by the police.
We call you to organise solidarity actions everywhere. Distance is not relevant when we speak on solidarity. This is the weapon we use.
